Uterine Cancer Treatment
Also called as the Endometrium cancer, uterine cancer is one of the most common cancers occurring in women. Uterus is that part of female reproductive system that helps fetus grows until birth. Abnormal growth of the uterine cells is termed as uterine cancer. Generally the cancer forms at the lining of the uterus. A tumor can be benign (no cancerous) or malignant (cancerous).

AVAILABLE TREATMENTS IN INDIA:
- Surgery – Removal of tumor and some healthy tissues around it. Depending on the stage the oncologist may perform Hysterectomy in which the whole uterus is removed or may be Lymph node dissection in which lymph nodes are removed if they are affected by the cancer.
- Chemotherapy – It is a procedure in which cancer is treated by giving drugs.
- Radiation Therapy – In this procedure, the patient is treated by high energy x-rays which are given to destroy the cancer cells without affecting the healthy tissues.
